Mark Higginson served as a Field Artillery Officer with the 2nd Infantry Divison along the Korean DMZ in 1969-70. His experiences during that tour of duty inspired the novel "North of the River." More recent travels in Hawaii and Colorado helped create "Pali," his latest work of fiction. Mark is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and also attended Youngstown State University. He and his wife, Susan, currently reside in the Columbus, Ohio area after relocating from Cleveland, following his retirement as the Safety Director of a large midwestern energy company. Mark is a member of the VFW and served on the board of the USO of Northern Ohio for many years.
